The Heart of the Kraken

Pip is eager as the pirates settle in for a night of storytelling and exaggeration - until the Kraken comes, seeking the pirate who stole the Heart of the Kraken. 

Written originally in 2019, The Heart of the Kraken remains the reason why a professional author gave me the time of day. "You either spent every summer since you were six on a boat, or you did your research," he said. The second is correct. This short story demonstrates my attention to detail and dedication to research, as well as a love of fantasized pirates.
